Shark attacks foil

I would look at your clip at full resolution, frame by frame when it breaches the surface. I thought I saw a smaller caudal fin but it is hard to tell with the quality reduction from your compression. Do a few screen grabs and put them up in full resolution on here. The surfacing doesn't look much like that of a skate but it is possible. What was the rough water depth there?

Unfortunately, the gopro was filming 1080p and on the strut of my kite so the resolution is reduced significantly. Very difficult to get any detail from the images but I'll post a few later when i get home.

Water depth was about 10-15ft, I was maybe 30-100 yards offshore from beach near the inlet on outgoing tide. Very sharky conditions. That spot is known for bull sharks and spinners. The inlet is apparently a nursery and every year this time of year there are a lot of shark sightings.

Too bad it isn't clearer, it seemed likely to result in an ID. You are sure it struck your foil after it broke the surface of the water? If so, doesn't sound like ray behavior more likely something a shark or fin fish might do.
