And it would be nice to not just see that there are x jumps with a rotauon. But also see which jumps were with a spin

Pressing the button shows you the last jump height. I don't think this is in the documentation anywhere.

PIQ should team up with kiteforum and allow us to upload a session to http://se.kiteforum.com/session-log or have an option in the app to do a 'https POST' to an URL. Then the community (i.e. the geeks) could build a site to gather the data and the data from other jump height apps (Woo, Xnsr etc)

This is a good point, thank you. And thanks for an awesome "what for" part. We will definitely think about it.
At the moment we do have a small community for north and piq riders, here's the link:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/northandpiq/
I would be happy to see you there!

It'd be really cool to have an emergency button on the PIQ. Say if you were swept out to sea at night, press the emergency button and the PIQ would flash all the LEDs at the same time.

I guess you could do this with the button, maybe an option in the settings that a double press or a short then long press would set all LEDs to flash once every 3 seconds or something.

It'd give that rescue helicopter something to aim for.

isn't WOO working with an iWatch? This could be even better than PIQ (and even more expensive :-) )

I've seen demos online, but not seen this working in real life yet.

I do think that in the future a mobile phone and or a watch will replace all these gadgets. Most phones are water proof now, a simple board clip to attach them and they'll do all the measurements.

Thanks for the information on the Woo Watch Link.

For replacement: I would not count on that. The application on the Board is quite needed for accuracy and a phone is just not the right thing for the job (somewhere in your neo, not everybody does take is 1.000$ iphone X for a ride...)

Watches could be nice but right now never replaced Garmin Watches and co. if you are deep into running and other sports.

Xensr has been working with android wear for some time now. Main problem with the watch is making sure the application is locked such that it won't close mid session. The swipe controls on most watch apps can be mimicked by water running off the touch screen. Don't know if iWatch is the same or not. Watch screen is slightly better to view than the PIQ screen - but not enough to make it a killer feature. A curved top face for the PIQ housing so the water doesn't bead up so much would be just as good a solution for me.

Oh - and a GPS chip in the sensor too. That would be good.
