Well, to make things right they should sell o-rings in packs i.e. 5,10 etc. pieces. It should be considered maintenance.

Or just make the bloody things waterproof!! My trace tracker needs no housing and is completely sealed.

Are you on commission or something? This is the second thread about PIQ where you have attempted to put some advertising for a rival device.

I hope you are right about Trace being waterproof but given the other two 'waterproof' competing devices WOO and Xensr have leaked in consumer devices, its a strong claim to be making.

There are plenty of waterproof electronic devices out there. Even the latest GoPros are waterproof without additional housing and they must have more electronics in them than these devices. Just can't see why you would make a device that is going to continually get wet and not make it waterproof. A housing that is constantly opened and closed is much more likely to fail. Having said that I wasn't aware that Woo and Xsenr had leakage issues. Maybe the same will happen to my Trace...

You have to remember that PIQ is a generic sports information device. You buy different mounts for different sports - Golf, Boxing, Tennis, Skiing etc. and use the same sensor.

PIQ is IP67 rated (water immersion of 1m for up to 30 minutes) but that's basically a showerproof water rating although adequate for most sports. Theoretically IP67 should survive a leak to the waterproof case fine. The problem is that none of the IPX ratings take into account salt water so repeated leaks could cause internal corrosion.

I used to try and rinse my Xensr after every session in fresh water but I'm convinced the eventual water leak was due to corrosion of the charging pins distorting the fit. Given how easy wireless charging is I'm surprised that hasn't been used (think electric toothbrush) and then do the data transfer via bluetooth.

I don't suppose anyone knows what the difference between the yellow kite icon and the plain kite icon means in the all jumps page in the app?

I'm trying to work out if there is an inverted board setting you can see on any of the menus. Its considered cheating to try a dead man to get the extra height.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it are the jumps with the most piq score?
I would love to be able to see the rotation per jump displayed aswell.

I am taking a guess that the yellow icon might mark whether you are riding port or starboard tack. I'm working on yellow for starboard tack and plain for port tack.

Based around the results I see, they tend to follow the trends I use when I practice (predominantly plain icons at start of the session where I tend to practice my weaker side - more yellow icons at the end of the session where I tend to just with it and hit the biggest kickers on my strong side as I'm finished practicing new stuff and just out to have fun)

I only jump with right foot in front and still have both yellow and plain ones

That scuppers that theory then. Hmmm.
