Jay XTC Flextech 2.0 harness

Postby plummet » Sat May 20, 2017 11:09 am

So I took a punt and order the new Jay harness,

Second session today. 15-40 knots on the 8m.

Harness works well and doesn't give the normal rib squeeze when super over powered. Had a little bit of discomfort in the back. But it was pretty crazy conditions.
First time on a sliding rope. Feels a bit weird when tacking powered upwind but does feel nice going down the line.

One little teathing issue. The bottom strap is too short and makes it a pain in the arse to put the harness on without pulling the strap out.

Is that the one with no water absorbent materials? Is it the rigid one?

Psh.... when you look at the picture you can clearly see it's rigid, just like every single Jay XTC harness is rigid. :duh:

We know about this issue and it is due to the XC dynabar who requires a 180 degrees turn of the hook buckle to attach to the dyneema loop. With the XT dynabar the hook buckle turns only 90 degrees and works fine. We also see that your harness is configured to fit M size and you should verify how much distance you have between webbing buckle and dynabar XC loop attachment. If it is more than 8cm then you could use the other webbing we supplied with the harness.
The xtc harness design allows easy replacement of webbings, we will send you email with instructions.
Check also FB technical blog https://m.facebook.com/groups/309135659 ... =bookmarks
Another simple solution is to attach the 25mm webbing to the same slot as the 38mm webbing, this way the hook buckle can turn 180 degrees.

Yes, and I have gotten you every other time before this too. The only difference this time is you recognize it.

But it's ok, because I'm just going to forget about it like it never happened. But from now on i'm going to want better treatment around here since now we know who's right about all this. And I want all this critisizing of my posts to stop.

Have a good day
