KITESPORTS in Christchurch NZ is up for sale. It would suit a motivated IKO or BKSA Instructor wanting to break away from being an employee and stomp their mark on a cool kite spot in the Southern Hemisphere teaching ALL kite sports.

Christchurch gets smooth reliable winds in 'our summer months' of October-March, with plenty of good riding outside of these times too. Our local kite spot is an estuary with safe waist deep water, good access and set up areas, and a separate area for learners. At the beach we get fun kiteable waves, and there's a strong crew of wave dedicated riders as conditions can get really good, with nice waves and wind angles. Our beach is also perfect for landbased kite sports, and where we do a lot of landboarding and buggying, Surfing and SUP. We have a good stream of clients all summer both locals and tourists who want to learn at our awesome kite spot.


Christchurch has hosted most of New Zealand's Regional and National kiteboarding events throughout the last 17 years and boasts a 100% success rate! We have a strong local club (Canterbury Windsports Assoc.) which fosters growth of all wind sports and promotes local kite businesses, of which we're one of two. Kitesports teaches the most kitesurf and landbased kite sports in Christchurch during our season, which brings in the core of our business, plus we have a small retail shop where we hire and sell equipment to locals and tourists, KITE< SURF< SUP< SKATE.
We also teach SUP and hire SUP's and surfboards from our beachside location.

Additionally, during the winter months we teach Snowkiting in the Queenstown/Wanaka region. We are the ONLY kite school certified to teach Snowkiting in NZ with our established Safety Management Plan.

Since starting Kitesports back in 2001 I have been actively involved in growing and promoting the sport. I’m selling the business due to changing family commitments, and have realistic expectations on price, with or without stock and equipment.
