The Name is the brand seller - just like the new edge... completely different kite but dont tell the ego riders :mamma:

Easy to convert gullible people to a new style of riding, as long as you keep the "NIKE" name :thumb:

A North Rebel with a bridle...explain to me how this is not just a higher AR Evo...

I like the Evos, the Rebel has its own niche with the direct connection. SO basically they are ditching the real Rebel and renaming the Evo into Rebel. Will be interesting to see what they do.

I hear good reports about the new Rebel. Thankfully they have dropped the 5th line line (which was probably the main reason for it's declining market share). I liked the Rebels but I haven't bought one in several years because of that 5th line system. Good on North for continually improving things. I should get to try one in the next couple of weeks and I will report my impressions.

 CG

Ohhh k - People don't really care if the kite completely changes - because some just like the name and brand.
The Edge riders loved their slow turning/glide jump kite - Would not consider riding a faster turning bigger jump kite... Now the V9 does exactly that and guess who loves their new Edge! The edge was slow turning anyway so now its the speed of an average kite..

The Rebel will be Loved im sure by its followers whatever they do to it - people already saying and hearing goods things.. there you go they don't really care :thumb:

If I remember correctly it was at a stage exactly the same wing as the rebel but equipped with a bridle. For 4 lines.....

Yea, I think for the first year that was it. Then they tried to change the wing to make it fly more like the Rebel rather than match it. I just remember the second generation was pretty fun to fly :thumb:

4 line Rebel is a great theory. It ties into the 4 line click bar. The 5th line never quite seemed as polished as the rest of the bar.

I quite enjoy the theories leading up to the new releases. Its a bit like the soccer fans around me in the office talking about transfer rumours.
