Kiting in Cabarete while learning coding

I am actually curious as to where you stayed.

Seawinds, Ultravioletta - both appeared to have crappy wifi, for my needs..

Interesting. You would think they have good wifi considering how fancy they are, but I assume they have shared wifi since they act more like a hotel than a condo. Bummer it turned you off to returning because I think that sucks and is unnecessary. With Claro we just ordered 20mb for our restaurant and after a month (for credit reasons I guess) you can have 100.

Also, they have fiber all the way to Kite Beach Hotel now (so I hear).

Anyways, hopefully others reading this thread now know about getting their own modem at Cable Del Norte in Media Luna Plaza worst case scenario. You can just factor that into the cost of your stay.

• The class is 4 hours a day for a whole week, so it gives you 20 hours of Web development basics (HTML, CSS, PHP & Wordpress) to start with. From there you'll need to practice, do exercises, get experience doing small jobs and eventually score big projects. It works!
• Like anything else in any industry, if you're good and you have the talent, you'll get picked up by the best and work on interesting projects. Many people started coding in various ages and found their careers doing that, it's a fun, logical and profitable trade to have. Best way to learn how it is is to try it
• Cabarete internet is pretty good in most places these days. In the non-profit where the classes are taking place they have 2 10MB lines from two different companies, so if one is down then the other will still work. It's pretty reliable and many people base their income on remote work here. However - we are only teaching you coding and creating a fun community atmosphere for kiting and partying in Cabarete, from here you can travel to Peru, Costa Rica, Brazil, Hawaii, Turkey, etc. and work there... up to you where you wanna kite.
