pullstrings , you say that the early morning is dangerous ? humm this is my preferred time of the day where I have good wind . The wind is quite often good between 5.30 am to 09.30 and I thought this time of the day was the safest ...Yes the reflection of the sun is terrible for the eyes so I wear sunglasses .

No no...it's not
( mid-morning to noon... noon to mid-afternoon...yes danger )
The time you are mentioning is great....but once the sun gets past the 45 degrees angle in the morning is where you should stay out of it
That's why the shadow test makes it easy....sun OK if the shadow you project on the ground is "longer" than your height :D .....*** thanks DaYoda i edited my goof ***

Anticipate that if you are doing a 1 to 3 hr session where will the sun be at the end of your session

Personally with my work it's rarely AM ( except weekend if any wind ).... almost always later in the afternoon to dusk for me

Let me correct you... Sun expose is at it's most extreme (not OK) if the shadow you project is shorter than your height. :thumb:

Pullstrings , all good , I prefer it this way . I'm always up at 4.30 and live directly on the lake so early morning wind is my early gift , I kite with the fishing birds ....

Hey thanks....good catch Da Yoda...i wrote it flip flopped :D

Shadow projected that is same as your height in the morning and will get shorter is not OK
Shadow projected that is same as your height in the afternoon and will get longer is OK

AM: Go out when sun is between 0 and 45 degrees
PM: Go out when sun is between 135 degrees and 180

You must live in a 3rd world country with charlatan doctors, because everything you stated above is sorely incorrect.
First off, THERE ARE ONLY TWO FORMS OF SKIN PRE CANCER.
Freckles are NOT pre cancer. Moles are NOT pre cancer. Sun spots are NOT pre cancer. What they do indicate is that someone with these attributes are more prone to getting skin cancer, nothing more! Key word here is "prone".

The two forms of pre cancer are Actinic Keratosis/Chelitis (body/lips) and Bowen Disease. Bowen is actually the early form of Squamous Cell where it's still concentrated in the epidermis. Since it hasn't entered into the lower skin layers (dermis), it's regarded as a pre cancer.
Moles can turn into Melanoma, so they need to be monitored. I have several benign moles, but I have a few that are monitored twice a year. My Basal Cell and Squamous Cell cancers were confirmed by a certified dermatologist. No tactics or verbal statements were made to "scare" me. Instead a biopsy along with documented science and expertise were used to determine my skin cancers. Same thing for my A.K. diagnosis.
Removing skin cancer (cryosurgery, curettage, excision, Mohs, etc) does NOT guarantee that the cancer will NOT come back! Mohs surgery can be 99%+ effective, but it's still not guaranteed.
Ok you're right, there's a .000000001 chance I could still have skin cancer and then a .00000000000000000001 chance after it's been treated. You really got me there!

No need for sun protection for about 2 1/2 minutes if you are on the water Monday August 21st while the sun is fully blocked by the moon !!...Yep it will be knotsunny
