Thoughts on a wave specific kite, coming from the RPM and really like the Slingshot bar set up so also wondering if I could use the sentinel bar on the airush wave

I've got the Waves and like them a ton.
Drift/float really well.
Very responsive, quick turning, even when sheeted out.
Well built but not over done.
Still jump well enough for me, good all-around kite.
Long bridles but never been an issue except once in a while when launching, just need to make sure to check.
My buddy rides the SST's (I haven't ridden his yet) and he says the SST is very similar to the Wave but the bridles are shorter and you get the flip nose.
I ride the Wave's with a LF Mission bar and sometimes the BRM bar.
Any low-Y bar will be fine. SS bar will work fine.

Check out Cabrinha 1x fixed bar with Trimlite - the best bar I've had in my hands and ridden so far - simple, robust, sandproof, short chickenloop (with potential to shorter it even more - Canrinha, please do!), easy CL reconnect after a release. For a price tag around $300 - it's a great deal. Unbeaten...
As of the kites - I tried the SST, but didn't make an excited opinion right away. I'd speculate they're heavier and relaunch great but I love and ride my Rallys and Turbines (and Rallys drift better and relaunch perfectly). My guess there's a lot of desire somewhere to replace Rally with a Wave line + racing line + freestyle line + foiling line + beginner line of kites but so far the Rally is as solid kite as it can be.

i have the 6, 8, 10 and 12 2016 sst waves. What I like
1-drift
2-easy relaunch
3-bridle
4-build
5-very high end and you can control it. For example i was out on a 20 knots day on my 10 meter kite then start to blow 25 knots then gusting to 30.
6-price - got a very good deal from realwatersports.com
What i don't like
upwind
low end
note: this kite is for surfing or foiling. If you wan to jump get a different kite.
I have 5,7 9, 12 meter NEO 2015 and does everything that the sst does plus the upwind, jumping and the low end.
cheer

If your 5, 7, 9, 12 NEO's do everything that the SST's do
plus upwind, jumping and low end then why do you also have 6 ,8, 10, 12 SST Waves???

The SST was a price decision. 4 kites 3 bars for $2500 USA. the 12 and 10 new and the 8 and 6 used but like new. I have the NEO quiver in Peru and the SST in Australia. Forgot to write the SST depower is very good.
