Horses for courses. Some people excel with body movements in general, and acrobatics, in particular. Others are eloquent speakers. The intersection of these sets is empty.
Looks like they've completely redesigned the Double Agent...
Completely..., apart from the wings,... which was the only thing that needed redesign...
Thanks for your feedback, but I respectfully disagree. The wings don't need redesign. They do exactly what we want them to do. They easily get people going on their first foilboard, provide for high lift and maneuverability, and have extremely high durability. These wings also float as does the mast and the board. It allows the Double Agent to sit "tilted" in the water making it the easiest foilboard to get into the straps for a waterstart. There's no finagling with the board to tilt it before trying to get started allowing the rider to concentrate on their foiling skills. The Double Agent is meant to be a fun freeride product, not a raceboard.
I'd have thought a wings redesign could have reduced some of the drag (maybe also with a fuselage redesign), improved on the pitch and yaw stability without sacrificing any of that float-ability that makes the waterstart easy. It would have made it a more fun freeride product, not just a first foilboard.
Big low ratio wings have made good progress over the last few years in terms of takeoff speed, maneuverability and overall ease of use, and I would have expected Cabrinha to follow that, hence why it comes as a surprise to see the redesigning of everything else but the wings.

Hi,
How much does the Double Agent board alone weight in both 135 and 145 sizes? I can't find this information on your website...
Thanks!

The 2017 model only hit the market in February, six months ago, so it makes no sense to update after such a short time and what I would consider excellent feedback from the market.

We don't publish the weights. It is not as light as a regular twin tip, although it is in twin tip construction. The board requires reinforcement and extra thickness for both the foil mount, and to increase stiffness when up on the foil. Also, there is quite a lot of EVA on the deck, inserts for both 2 strap and 3 strap setup, and inserts for both the foil and the optional 4-fin setup. This all adds extra weight over an Ace for example.
