Love Kitesurfing? Please help us show it!
So it's almost the weekend and at the Kitesurf World Cup in Fehmarn, Germany, there's definitely a Friday feeling as the GKA Kite-Surf World Tour riders are scheduled to put on a Best Trick contest as well as a round the island race for the crowds.
Catch the action through our Facebook and Instagram channels. There will be more news from today later on.
However, there is one piece of media that we'd love you to help us spread if possible.
We love kitesurfing
You may be aware that the German legislator in government is following a course of action that could see kitesurfing prohibited in northern Germany. They are boxing it up in the same domain as motorised sports in terms of its environmental and social impact.
One of the GKA's main roles as an organisation is to fight such legislation in court in support of the sport's safe and sustainable future as well as its natural identity.
Of course we know that kitesurfing isn't like engine sports and that kitesurfers themselves love the environment in which they do their sport.
So, with the support of Facebook themselves, the GKA along with some of their member brands who are at the trade show at the Kite Surf World Cup, got together to start a campaign around this shoot that simply shows that 'We Love Kitesurfing'.
So if you're looking for a feel-good Friday post, or indeed any time over the weekend, please help us spread the word. The post has just gone up on the GKA's Facebook page, so if you simply want to share that post, then great.
If you'd like to upload this image to your own channels, please do.
Perhaps some text could be:
'Please help the GKA oppose a possible ban on kitesurfing in northern Germany by showing the world how much we love kitesurfing! Thanks for sharing the love everyone!'
