Fastest turning wave/boost kite

Anybody riden the WS? In what sizes? What does it compare like? Drifter, Reo..?

Here´s a Short video of Nuno Stru, looks like it does more than just wave and drifting well. Seems like a good jumper as well. I have only tried it once and was in crazy storm so was more in survival mode than getting the full propper test, and on a borrowed kite...

To me it is easily the Pivot, but you'll get a lot of different answers here. I mean you know the BRM is super fast turning, but personally I do not have too much experience jumping it. On the Pivot I do both.

If a wave kite's primary feature is drift, then it seems likely that the better it is as a wave kite the worse it will be at jumping. Either it's really good at what it's made for or it's a hybrid that trades off some of its primary benefit for other things. (Kinda like asking which minivan corners best and is best for off road....not really what minivans are made for)

OR Prodigy is an all rounder not a dedicated wave kite. The OR Roam is now their wave kite. I haven't tried it but one friend loves them....mainly for wave riding.

I ride bws noise pro. Pure wave kite, not really great jumping. Their new aeneema is more of an all rounder, but i have read they give up some drift in exchange for better jumping and turning speed.

hybrids are great at getting the good features of a variety of styles....but you risk it being not particularly great at any particular thing. However unless you are specialized on one kind of riding I think they make good sense. Also.....you can and will get used to anything and learn to fly it well, as seen in every thread with recommendations....inevitably everyone reports the best kite is the one they are riding.

The loop on the pivot depends on how you loop it, but sure it doesn't loop like the Torch.

As compared to any other fast turning kite out there. Except for the Flite, because everyone knows the Flite doesn't have any power through the turns either.

When you have a kite with a pivoting turn, yeah it's going to turn fast, but will you be powered through those turns? No, not at all. i mean, they will still have their place in the kiting community, begginer loopers probably love them since they don't deliver a gut wrenching yank.

I'm not saying it's a bad kite, I just don't have any fun flying something that isn't going to pull me...

If you want both, The Neo has bridal adjustments on the front bridals and rear pigtails. the front bride adjustments work at making it jump or drift better. Id imagine most kite companies will start offering this, it really is an excellent option.

I don't understand. Why would you want lot of pull in the loop for a wave kite?

Gutless loops can be awesome fun.

I use a pivot turning kite on snow when its too gusty to unhook and pussy loop it all over the place. Pretty sweet to controllably stall yourself out 8 feet up, mid back roll transition over a specific bit of good snow with a predictably gutless loop. Gut wrenching yank on hard ground or tough conditions is not as much fun.

Wave and boost are kinda mutually exclusive in dedicated kites, but allrounders are amazing and do both really well while making everything a little easier.
