I love cold water storm kiting and love fall through spring kiting in the cold, rainy big winds. I think being a dedicated kiter and learning new tricks in these conditions helps develop resolve. That being said would I like to live in a place where a 5 mil wetsuit isn't required, the is flat and steady trade winds blow all day. Absolutely! :)

Thanks for all the tips. Yesterday was big and I really focused on just trying to keep my knees and feet up when putting the board back on while jamming them in with the board handle. That helped a little.

One trick that eludes me however is how to get your feet back in the board when holding the tip or tail as these board offs with inversions look awesome. Any tips?

Take it off on the lower tip, thumb on top, fingers on fin.
Then swing the board away from you and swing it back high enough. Now the movement stops and you can aim to put your feed back into it.
You could do one first, then second in (like a OneFoot).
I do both at same time though.
