Has anyone tried NP atom/ Prolimit Vapor / Hadlow Ion 2017 (it also has carbon backplate) and give a hint about the harness? I currently own a mystic warrior III

I also owner of warrior 2015, I dont know why people like them so much. Yes its comfy but lock it and unlock it is hell bad!
The click system is bad and if its got sand inside its stuck and even could open itself.
I bought ion hummer 2017 and hope it will be good for me. It really compat and low cut and very helpfull for freestyle and free movements.
The np mirage is also looks good! but i dont see him at 2018 collection. There is "atom" but its carbon its not the same. Im a soft guy

You're welcome! I see that NP just updated their website since I'd posted and you're correct, it looks like the Mirage is now discontinued. The Proton looks like their most compact "softshell" harness now.
Also know that the Ride Engine, Majestic X, and I believe the new Atom are the only true "hardshell" harnesses currently on the market. The rest are more of a "hybrid" design with a combination of stiff and soft construction.
Check out this test video and you'll see what I'm talking about about the "hybrid" models. Four of the six "hardshell" harness I listed are tested. You'll see why I listed the Brunotti harness under "softshell".

Some other compact/lowpro "softshell" harnesses to check out would be Gaastra's Amp, Underwave's Squared, and possibly Manera's new Union harness.

Manera with the stiff hex going through sides to hook is prolly more like hardshell compared to some hybrids. In terms of load distribution.
NP Atom looks very much like ride engine - it looks like it has some kind of curve in the back (photos might be misleading me tho).

I have never had any issues with click bar system. However I want something smaller with more support, thus hardshell or similar harness is taken into consideration.

The "hex" model is the older Evo and agree I think that may be too supportive, but it's fairly compact. Their new Union for 2018 has a minimalist construction and the frame is now inside and covers more area. The question is if the support is more than the Evo. I can't find any reviews on it yet. It has the "tuck flap" on the spreader bar like the Evo too.

I just have had a look at the Union - interesting, same principle as exo, so what is the difference? What are the perks of a heavier EXO?
Anyone tried the atom or 2017 ION Hadlow ?
