Almost always light weight kiter has more strength compared to his body weight than a heavy weight one.
Yeah, that one is very important. But on a power delivery from the kite perspective, nothing really changes compared to a light rider. You ride a X-% bigger kite, you get X-% more pull (ignoring net l/d/weight differences between a small and big kite, those kind of even out in the end). Board speed, apparent wind direction and speed, increase in apparent windspeed when edging, all the same.
So you have to get the technique just right, or ride a kite that's better suited for unhooking. Or work on those muscles or that weight. Friend of mine has weighed above 100kg, didn't have problems unhooking. But he's a strong guy.

1. go see a personal trainer with mission of 95kg.. motivation.. kiteboarding
125kg is 25kg heavier than most boxing heavyweight champions!,most wakestylers are 75kg, Marc Jacobs the big exception edging on 90? Mark shinn looked about 90 back in the day and had to strain to hp
Got a friend that was 105 that lost a whole load of weight.. 15kg loss... says kiting now is like night and day.
Another friend did handle passes at 100kg.. this is as rare as rocking horse shit.. ended up injured and giving up unhooking.
Good luck..huge respect to bigger riders.. I would rather watch powered riding from a big rider than little trick fairies pouncing around any day.
You can't hold easy cos you are heavy.
We got some very big riders in nz, none unhooking though.
I am 92kg and on a mission to get back to 86kg right now.. the broken ankle pie effect...
Good luck!

Ah yeah... My fitness pal app... Really great... For losing weight.. but pay for a personal trainer if you can afford it.. a great investment.. they will help motivate you when your brain weakens to the point of I am over this...
