Pick a mould, supply your graphics, and the factory will build you a minimum quantity boards with wood cores, glass reinforcement and PBT top and bottom sheets.
Do you have a link for the company rynhardt?
I think it's Playmaker (Pty) Ltd in Taiwan.

I would avoid wood boards because they are less durable and too heavy

LOLOLOLOL ohhhh the misinformed

Almost all of the best boards (made with compression molding) in any sport are done with wood cores.

All the magic comes from the interaction of core materials and layup.

Hello Kiteforum!

I would like to ask your feedback/advice about nowadays kiteboards: what's the difference and pros/cons of buying a glass fiber or carbon board?

(Twin tip at the moment)

I would avoid wood boards because they are less durable and too heavy

thanks guys!
Whatever you get it won't improve your riding unless you get more on the water. Does Eu/$1000 buys more time on water?

Btw, almost all skis are made of wood. Almost all snowboards. The biggest pro/con is about your disposable income :) If u have heaps for disposal, buy an high end carbon. Simple.

And no, Paulownia wood is ultra light. My P. wood board, no accessories is 1873 grams, so....

LOLOLOLOL ohhhh the misinformed

Almost all of the best boards (made with compression molding) in any sport are done with wood cores.

All the magic comes from the interaction of core materials and layup.
Commercial (high run quantity) boards are typically made with wood cores, for various reasons, including cost, environmental footprint and supply chain management.
This does not make wood superior, or inferior, to other structural core materials. It's simply another core material.

Similarly, glass and carbon are simply different reinforcement materials, with each having pros and cons.
Same with resin (although you don't see much marketing spiel around resin, for some reason). Resin properties (strength, toughness, Tg) are always a compromise with the cost, curing schedule, health hazard and environmental impact.

Manufacturers will always market their process, their materials, their whatever as being superior. That is the nature of marketing.

Some people like the kool-aid.
