Testing the SS3 currently. Almost perfect...like a cameramen...but have a problem with shaking videos...need to see what I can do to fix it...or which software can fix it.

If I can solve this, it is the best you can have to film you more than just few times.
maybe weigh down the tripod. In photography they attach a sand bag in the middle of the tripod to weigh it down, though depends on quality of tripod.

Toby message me with a clip you want to stabilize (or just link me a viddy you have) and I'll ship it back to you with the FX applied. You can not stabilize an entire 2 minute video with one click. You have to stabilize each video one clip at a time (that's because stabilization works by cropping and if you tried to do an entire video the video would crop down to nothing). Normally you will apply stabilization to about 10 seconds or so of video at a time. There is one FX to click then you put in the panning and stabilization amount you want so it's not too difficult.

Great edt. Will go thru footage and cut a good one. Normally my trick clips are 12-16 seconds long. Will that be ok?
I will send it via wetransfer. PM me your email address.

Really excited if this works

Guys can you share some video while Kiting? Also, how far while on water does the 65 actually zoom effectively?

Is it the wind buffeting the camera Toby? The trouble with that kind of shake is even if you stabilize you might still get motion blur in the shakey bits. Curious to see your footage too. I'm a film editor so use my Avid to stabilize stuff. It can be pretty good. Be interesting to compare to the Sony. Hopefully I won't need to at all if the sandbag on the tripod works.

My SS3 comes next week can't wait! (well I have waited for quite awhile ha)

it zooms 65x. But the further it zooms in the more it is shaky...the closer you can do your action the better.
Check their youtube account...they have a video where they zoom into the Golden Gate Bridge...pretty amazing zoom.

ITN: looking forward to your results.

Changed to Full HD last time...same same. So will keep filming in 4k with wide frame setting...should zoom less and shake less.

toby I shipped u the two rendered stabilized clips. I used sony vegas pro so I know that works, but there's plenty of great other video editing software out there that can do the same. I don't think there's anything free that will do good stabilization, at least not last time I looked. feel free to share that youtube link I made if you want others to know what we are talking about.
