Nutter. I used to dream of jumping off high rise buildings with my kite years ago. He actually did it!

This is not good for the kiting community. I don't care what precautions were taken in the production of this clip, this is some irresponsible shit that will only encourage amateurs to take unnecessary risks that could be damaging to the public image of our sport.
This goes in the same category as guys jumping over concrete piers during massive hurricanes. Poor ambassadorship of our sport to the media-consuming public.
Don't over react dude. Everybody knows Nick is not the average kiter.

Not even a handlepass on the way down?
I wonder what he would do if his board somehow slipped off his feet

safety
I personally think that's safer not using the donkey dick as he's wearing a parachute and can more easily jettison the kite and bar if something breaks.

So why is it that a pro kiter towed up to 270m and gliding down is considered “cool”, but gliding 100m of the deck over the snow is considered foolish?
My 2 cents is that the tow up is the kook part. The force on the lines gliding down is minimal compared to the tow up. Oh and it is great that he wore a parachute, but if the line snaps when you are under 100M off the deck, you don’t have enough time to deploy.
It is a stunt, doesn’t take much talent, just big ones.
