Very nice. Best thing is that core picked up the ball and admitted their mistake and gave number two Erik Blokker a wildcard aswell.

Quote from fb

BREAKING NEWS: CORE and WOO Sports have made it right. I am very happy to announce that CORE and WOO have noticed my participation in the # XR5challenge wild card has not been completely flawless. Given my commitment within the challenge and my big air qualities shown here, they have come to the conclusion I just have to be there in Cape Town. That's why an extra Wildcard will be printed.

So fairy tales really exist and my trust in humanity has been fully restored. Cape Town I'm coming!

Great feeling to have won this wildcard, I'm really stoked to be in the game. Thanks to everybody who voted for me, amazing 2000 + votes, I'd never thought that. Special thanks to my buddy Bigaairs who posted me on kiteforum and to DWX for the positive vibe. Cheers, Maarten

Just what we need, more Core kite guys ripping big jumps at Kite Beach!

Just kidding! One of them even gave me a thumbs up on one of my geriatric jumps the other day.

Hope to see you out here, Maarten and Erik, just don't bother coming out for Christmas, no wind till afterwards.

They changed the end date like 21h before the original enddate without notice. So Erik went all-out in the (as he thought) last hours of the challenge and thinking he won the challenge. Only to discover that they changed the date after.

Congrats to both and excellent decision by Core&Woo to solve the issue. That's how companies show they care about their customers imho!
