Coming from a surfing background:
37. Making lemonade from a bowl of lemons: crazy stoked racing around rigging and laughing while the grumpy surfers grumble about blown out surf.
38. The camaraderie of the crew, which comes from even rugged individuals needing help and so also required to give it, plus a general lack of need to compete for a scarce resource.

"Filming myself and then watching myself on film."
..
Doesn't get any better than this. Our Potus is like minded. Sept he tweets to get the same ego rush.
..
Pretty much sums up the depth of mankind right now,
,,,
and why we could give a sheet about a lot of other stuff.
..
Par-te on .. It won't last for long.
I was kidding! (/teasing) Didn't think I had to write that. What is your favorite part of the sport?
I also love Airbunny posts when the wind is not present.
And sailing (boat) to remote spots followed by a session, a barbecue and alot of beer
Come back summer ffs!

When everything, or even just ONE thing, just clicks for you, no matter WHAT you ride, and you get the ZEN feeling
This stoke lasts for sooooo long, after the session
Happens very often, with the right attitude, no matter how good or lousy you are

Variety
Foil, surfboard, twin tip, snow. Keeps it fresh and the stoke high. They are so different in ideal conditions and gear but crossover so much that any one helps improve the others.
My foiling has hugely improved my efficiency on a surfboard. Snow kiting helps introduce variation and style to my twin tip riding. Really helps make the most out of the conditions on any given day while increasing my appreciation for any one piece of my gear. The more types of boards and kites I have, the easier it is to end up on the right ones at the right times.

Great when riding with friends. Totally awesome when those friends are your own kids. 12-25-17 session during family trip to Perth

x2 on variety. Suits my moods. If I want no one to bother(avoid even eye contact) me I fly my foil kite. When I foilboard I have some interesting talks with engineer types on the beach.Nothing like a big air old school session to have little old ladies cheering. And on date night I pull on the boots for some hardcore wakestyle and the ladies are all lined up and ready to go!

I agree with what you all say but the personal best has been my first two downwinds with my daughters in my local coastline (last week and a year from when I learned how to kite)
