Straps are a big deal for me and part of the Carved/Core draw are the ultra straps. The snowboard ratchet feature that some manufacturers incorporate seems a small gimmick type thing, but boy does it improve your sessions. Amazed that it isn’t already a standard because it puts velcro to shame.
Yeah, this is a good point.
Unfortunately Carved Ultra straps are with 6,5" insert spacing and will not fit for example Crazyfly LTD board with 6.75" spacing. This combo would have been nice...

How do you use the Ultra straps, is it just handy adjustment? Or do you put your feet in and tighten them after that with the ratchet?
The spread differences is a pain in the ass.

With the ratchet setup you can adjust while riding. Losening or tightening while on the board might seem like a small difference but the convenience of not stoping and starting is so nice. Normally I will head out with loosened straps and depending on the conditions, I reach down and adjust a couple of times as I’m going. Never going back to velcro.

Shinn Ultrasonic !!

Absolute beauty of a board pop is so good and also enough flex to not smash your knees after big jumps..

Owned a Gonzales before that but it felt too floppy on the water and a bit sluggish !
