What’s the best board you have ever tried?

Postby Kitemanmuc » Thu Feb 01, 2018 6:41 am

We talk a lot about kites and which is best etc etc.

But we rarely talk about stand out boards. Are there
Any boards on the market that stand above and beyond the others?

Carved?
Lieuwe?
Shinn?
Nobile?

I have a custom made (not for me) carved imperator from around 2005. That board for me stands out. It has a huge concave but it was just too small for me and I expect that by now it might break if put under stress. I have another Carved imperator V now and also a Brokite hybrid. Both great boards but not outstanding.

My own custom board that I made. Funnily enough it suits my needs better than anything else I have ever ridden. I guess that's the advantage of making something selfishly to your own exact needs.

That's something I would enjoy doing . . . but have no shed here :(

For me, Spleene monster door.

Primarily because I'm a big nice person, but it's made the biggest change to my riding, I'm one year in, I was struggling getting upwind or riding consistently, tried big kites (up to a 17m), broke my leg trying too hard to get out in conditions that weren't suitable for a beginner...etc...

2 sessions on this board in moderate wind on a 9m kite and it's like I've been riding for years! I'm even practicing sliding turns and jumps! So stoked.

Sorry just want to talk to everyone about my fucking massive board that I love! (but doesn't fit in a board bag..)

Nobile T5 :cool2:
I was so impressed how smooth and stable it went. I had to buy one.
I bet there must be a better one, haven't tried all the twintips yet!

I had no shed or a garage. Worked in my laundry.

Now have a double garage and guess what, no time for building.

No need for a new build, current one is the best. For me.

Tried more than 15-20 boards.
