The OG hyperlight systems where a little higher, but the new ones are no higher than your Ronix.

With regards to the shredtowns, I don't think their intended to be used for walking on the beach and may not last/invalidate warranty...
Shredtowns were designed for multi-tower cable parks where once you fall you have to swim to shore and walk back to the starting point over dirt/gravel/rock/asphalt/grass.
Liquid Force's 4D Hook binding is very similar to the Shredtown and has a "walking" liner as well.

I use Hyperlite systems since 2 years and find them extremely comfortable and easy to put on the beach and in the water. It‘s just a matter of adjusting the straps to the right length. I always close the toestrap loose and slide my feet into them, just like you slide into footstraps, ride out and upwind a bit and then close eyerthing properly, which I find easy with one hand. takes some practice but once you got it it‘s easy and you can walk over anything in them.
