2018 Dakine Fusion Seat Harness
You would think the latest model would be the greatest or at Least different color/paint-job.
The 2016/2017 Dakine Fusion seat Harness is completely different, it has a lot more padding and a little heavier and forms to your body shape(Fat). The 2018 is a complete redesign and it has far less padding. The 2018 harness runs smaller than last years too. I like to crank my harness as tight as possible to protect my spine. When cranked down on the 2018 it does not have enough padding and actually bruised me with the very stiff plastic back and sides. If you are slim fit with out a beer belly it would be fine, like wise if you just slip into the harness and do not really tighten it, good to go. Then it is fine. The 2018 was hard for me to tighten by myself with the far shorter webbing straps. Maybe I should try an XL .

I'm about to replace mine too, and was thinking that a smaller fit is better and there's too much unnecessary padding
Where is it digging in?
Is that your 3-star review on kiteboarding.com?

My feeling on the 2018 fusion is just the opposite. It has plenty og padding. Straps are more than long enough. Almost too long.
It does have a built in curve that you might notice when walking on land but is extremely comfortable on the water.
