Canopy has to be sewn to the leading edge using triple point not regular zigzag, come on people.
Hmmm, dare to show a pic? No idea what triple point is.
Other than that, awesome input! About to order fabric and start making my kite this winter
Also, what do you think of this:

Does it look ok or needs updating? Thx

In 2b it shows triple point vs regular zigzag for topstitching folded seam but neither is needed you can topstitch folded strut seam with regular straight stitch. The regular zig is the worst choice in this particular case.

Q:
I was under impression the thread v69 is for LE, but man, v69 that I've got is way thicker. So which one is it than?

Canopy has to be sewn to the leading edge using triple point not regular zigzag, come on people.
So Switch is doing two adjacent passes of 2-point zig-zag for their canopy-to-LE seam, which is kind of like doing a triple-step / 4-point except leaving out the stitch in the middle. Seems obvious to me that it would be faster & equally strong to do that seam in one pass with a modern industrial 4-point machine that can be set to a 10mm zig-zag width.
Your thoughts on Switch's canopy-LE seam stitching ?

Yes, Switch, I just fixed it. It's a joke. Triple zigzag gets embedded, if you will, in the material. Regular zigzag exposes loops of thread and it goes to shreds during self launch.

Haven't had that experience with 11 Switch kites yet. Damage from self launches occurs at the bridle attachement reinforcements mostly.

Depends where the stitches are. On my Edges both side of single zigzag is gone on places. And I never self launch.

Do you mean on the canopy side? The LE side is a single row of triple if I'm not mistaken.
