Yes, I think the new 7m-12m Helium 3 is essentially a refined and lightened evolution of the Element 5. Both have a similar aspect ratio but the helium is flatter giving a higher projected area per size which I think is a good thing for foil/wave.

How does a flatter shape affect turning speed and pull through the turn?
Is this effect good for waves and foil?

In general flatter shapes don't pull you as much on turns. The more c-shaped a kite the more it pulls in a turn. This can be a good or bad thing depending on your style. But it depends on the entire kite design where it sits in the window, center of pull, amount of lift, how the air flows across the kite.

I won't be. There is something weird going on there. Bill either owns the rights to his designs or they are trying to erase his designs for whatever reason. But with no Nitro and no onshore wave kite, there nothing here for me. Just another kite company with Hawaiian inmates running the asylum.

They still have plenty of N-6's on hand - buy up a bunch of them. Not sure why you think the new H3 wouldn't work in onshore waves?

I can't agree with you more! It's not much realistic to watch a video of a new wave kite in perfect wind and wave conditions. Side/Side-off, 25 knots, glassy water and 2m waves Even an old Naish X4 could do the work!

Just some insight..
The H3 was designed and tested in Europe
Only final confirmation and promotional video was shot in Hawaii
Simple food for thought- A GOOD foil kite for the average joe actually needs to sit back a little so it is plug and play. This making it user friendly flying in front of you and at zenith in light air. This is what the H3 does very well. Cloud kites also sit back giving them that plug and play feel. When combined with light weight it gives you the perfect formula for riding a foil and cross's over to wave just fine.
Some kites fly too far forward and lose all Tention in the lines if not flown - Again what you DON'T want from a foil kite.
The H3 has that happy mix.

I am looking for a kite both for very lightwind foiling and then when wind picks up a bit for flat water strapless freestyle.
I will not buy bigger than 12m kite. Does the 12m H3 have grunt when turning/looping or is it mellow in this regards, please?

Will do the job very well.

You can adjust this with you bar length and adjustments on the kite.

The best way to describe the stock setting would be some power initially as it flips and turns it becomes very easy to control and handle.
This is a hard question to answer correctly as everyone has their own idea of power.
Just a very friendly kite. For people looking to Foil and do some wave riding in all conditions..
