I thought I would chime in on this topic. Just got a stem cell treatment on my right knee from Caring Medical about 3 weeks ago.

https://www.caringmedical.com/stem-cell-therapy/

I’ve been going to Ross Hauser for years to get traditional Prolotherapy treatments on my back with very good success. This is (was) my first stem cell injection for a meniscus tear in the right knee that just wasn’t healing on its own. They got the stem cells from my hip bone in the same visit, immediately centrifuged them, and reinjected them along with prp (plasma rich platelets) and traditional Prolotherapy dextrose solution to enhance the standard inflamation based healing cascade.

Way too early too tell how it well it will work. It was a pretty intense tear and at 59, there is definitely some accumulated damage, though still enough cartalidge there to be worth the effort. Going for a follow up treatment in 4 weeks. Just like Prolotherapy, a single stem cell injection might not be enough on its own. FWIW, the cost was $3k including airfare. I’ll report back after more time has elapsed. For now kiting is off limits until I feel enough improvement. (Bummer because my daughter is right down the road working as a coach at Real WS this summer and I’m stuck on the sidelines.....)
