Ideally Zephyr (17m) vs Helium 3 16m.
Has anyone flown both these kites and if so how did they compare?

- Top end

Appreciate the offer, but I know the V5 is a 're-design' so that's what to compare with. Thanks.

I have a Helium 2 15.5 that I use for foiling. It's a very good kite. Everything from Switch is very good.
I'm not sure it's worth going into a long review when there is one truly insurmountable difference between the Zephyr and the Helium. The Zephyr is more than double the price of the Helium. Even more if you order a bar as well.
What do you think the Zephyr is going to do that is worth more than $1000?

Just for arguments sake please ignore the price difference and focus on performance differences.

I don't know ... others might.

These kites have been our a while now - anyone flown them both? I've heard mixed reports on the H3. Zephyr sounds good but $$$$

I have a He3 14M. I don't foil & have used mine mostly with my surfboard. I've enjoyed the new H3 much better than the E5's & E3's. I really like how fast the kite turns & drifts & performs with my surfboard, I've had no issues with the kite at all, has pretty good range too. I've flown it a little on snow & boosts were decent but not the high, floaty, soft landing boosts you might get from a higher aspect kite. I flew the version 1 of the zephyr & wasn't impressed but I have no idea how newer versions perform

I wouldn't know how they compare, and I have no experience from any other lightwind kite than Zephyr v4, but that is for me a brilliant kite (not knowing if other lightwind kites are even better).
It is a bit of a niche thing though, at least for me, kiting TT with such a big kite. I still use it a lot, but I find myself not always going out if the wind is so weak that I need a 17m - as it is just a lot more fun with smaller kites.
