Does anyone have knowledge of the adjustable speed system that they could share please.
I’ve seen the video of the adjustable speed system being installed, but can’t quite see how the “adjustable” loop Is setup.

That must be my retrofit adjustable speed system, it is not pre installed on the v2:

http://www.infexion.nl/winkel/accessoir ... grade-set/

It works by a splice with a long enough bury to not slip under load where the tail of the bury comes out of the line again end ends in a small knot to prevent you from undoing the splice.

Thanks for the reply and link.
That looks to be a simple yet a very effective way in providing the necessary adjustment.
I was only asking as I’m in the process of adapting one of my speed systems to an “adjustable” type, but not sure which method to go for as there is a number of ways it can be achieved.

Aero V2 has 65 cells (same as Sonic race). Kite looks very well designed, I don't see why it couldn't be very competitive against top race kite models.

MIniribs are a bit different than usually seen, apparently some development there. TE cell count is highest there is (with Sonic race), huge 130.

I guess AR is about the same 7.75 as it is in Sonic. Practical limits are close, pushing AR further probably make kites too difficult to use. I don't know where these PL foil kites are made but quality of manufacture is for sure good enough.
Are you saying the Aero V2 is a copy of the Sonic FR?

No, not at all. I know the work of PL kite designer, for sure Michel Dekker knows his work. Race kites look quite similar and if they have same cell count even more so.

MIniribs and bridle design in AeroV2 and Sonic Race are different. Some cell counts are easier/more practical to design, so it is no wonder there is similarities there. Both are top level designs, up there with R1, Diablo and few others.

Thanks Kitexpert, I'm currently weighing up my options on a softkite for jumping with TT. I've been kiteboarding 18yrs and buggied before that.
Options so far are Sonic FR 15m, Sonic2 15m, Aero2 decisions decisions??

Depends on your Budget...
cheep -> SonicFR
middle -> Sonic2
3000+ -> Aero2

Thanks for the reply Nemo. Are you biased in any way?

The resale value of the Aero2 potentially worries me though. Thoughts please?

They are all good kites, SonicFR is really durable but doesnt have as good of a low end wind range as an Aero v1 UL, or Sonic2. I just got some Aero 2s but have not flown them yet, now just need to sell my Sonic FRs and Aero V1 ULs. I wouldn't base your decision on resale value, if that is important to you I would buy used, that's what I did when I got a Sonic FR 18m two years ago. Kites generally lose a ton of their value after a year or two when the new model comes around.

If anyone here mountain bikes, snowboards, pretty much any sport with lots of expensive gear, the N+1 rule applies to all sports, N for the number of bikes, kites, boards, etc, +1 cause you can always add another hahaha.

Due to stable prices on used marked and perfect customer service I prefer products from Flysurfer!
BUT in the last 2 years I owened a 18m DiabloV1 and now a 18m Pulsion from conceptair.
Few weeks ago we had a privat testing of big foilkite. At this session I've flown a 17m Aero1. I linked it very much! BUT you have to buy UltraLight version because the normal one doesn't fly if it is wet!
If you by such an expensive Foilkite new, resale will be a big pain! Try to get a used one in this Facebook Groupe https://m.facebook.com/groups/914994168 ... =bookmarks
