Woo 3.0 and iWatch 3?

Postby deniska » Tue May 22, 2018 9:06 pm

Did anyone have any success with Woo/iWatch setup?
I tried it a few times but always end up with watch just going back to displaying the time after a few jumps / minutes..
Is there some configuration / setting that I am missing or is this just a buggy product?

If the board goes underwater, even a little, the BT connection gets broken and does not reset on its own.

Had the same kind of issue with Nixon mission android watch I just deactivated "screen always On" setting which after a few minutes made the watch exit the woo app ... now the screen goes black and taping on it brings back the woo screen ... works perfect ... I'm sure that there is something similar to do on the Apple watch ...

yeah.. seems like a combination of the 2 comments above:
had to change some settings for the wake screen, to keep the app on.. but it still resets on any major crash or separation with the board..
I dropped a board on a couple of failed board offs and every time it would reset and default to time screen afterwards...
anyway to make it more robust?

Is there any progress in making the Woo 3.0 work with Garmin watches?

I tested Woo 3.0 with Android watch and it is unusable on water. Any splash of water causes watch to exit Woo app and go to a Clock screen. I think watch treats it as a "palm gesture". In short, it works OK as long as you never fall :naughty:

Here is a short video demonstrating the problem:

I am currently looking for anew android solution that is inexpensive and work well. I just want it for kiting, so asthetics are not important. Typically, I buy something right before a solid option is offered. Waiting a bit this time

Is there an option to turn off the gestures on the watch?

You have to remove the 's' in "https" when using the <YouTube> tags. Perhaps there is a new mod for the forum available to correct this since the web is moving to https.

Or just use the <VIDEO> tag.

The woo people suggested to put the iWatch in "do not disturb" mode.
It seems to partially help, but the watch still occasionally resets to showing time.
