throw out a cryptic ad and they get responses from 'sounds great' to 'been there, done that'. seems the ad did what it was meant to...create a buzz.

...25 seconds of video, with two somewhat tattered feathers falling down! If the feathers are falling down, how light is the new kite?!!
And what happened to the bird - stripped naked?
Strange video - just show the kite and details please! In a year or so, there will be an even lighter and better version and so on...!!

Until there's a new fabric that resists puncture more than any other and has incredible strength and is also light as all get out, it's pretty hard to believe some magical triangular stitching is going to change the rules, much as that would be a lovely thing.

.. Make it thin it - gonna pop easy grandma.
....
Cuben fiber was a catchy phrase back in the day, why even "I'm not Fokiten" got a test drive. Based on bullsh_t alone and a big mouth. Now LOST off the coast of Costa Rica and filming a new reality Pahrump loves you TV show.
....
But we are in the age of FAKE, which covers everything you wished you'd never thought or did because it was wrong - and is now legitimate.
.....
So my solution is to let Marlborough Man be the first test pilot. A propo. The ultimate proponent of FAKE on this forum. Now just what was he thinking by calling himself the dumbest, most cliche, name in the world? The original MM is dead from, imagine this, lung cancer.
....
But we stray. Let's hope something amazing is on the horizon.....
There is one I believe... Nano Cure Tech Fabric

Some data from the websites:

Airush Ultra V2, the most advanced and lighter kite they ever built. Size 12, wind range declared: 10-22 (http://airush.com/kites/ultra-v2/).
Core XR 5, 5 struts, for sure not the lighter kite out there. Size 12, wind range declared: 10-24 (https://corekites.com/us/kites/xr5).
Slingshot Rally 2019, "Reinforced surf-tough construction built to take a pounding". Size 12, wind range declared: 10-22 (http://www.slingshotsports.com/2019-Rally).
F-One Bandit 2018. " New Materials and colour coding for reinforcements". Size 12, wind range declared: 10-22 (http://www.f-onekites.com/Products/Kites/Produit/BANDIT).

So what? Why do I have to buy a single strut to ride in 10 knots if in the same 10 knots any 12 can make me ride? Is this true or not?

Yes, there is a lot information out there but they wind ranges are very subjective as they depend on rider level, ability, board size, etc...
Airush: 75kg rider with a medium sized twintip
Core: they do not mention in which conditions
Slingshot: based on a 175 lbs - 80 kg rider
F-One: They do not mention

So I would be cautious when comparing these data.

Hajvar, I agree but I don't think that Core speaking about the 12 low end is referring to a 60 kgs. pro rider in perfect flat water and steady wind while F-One is referring to a 90 kgs. kook in choppy water and gusty winds… I think every brand refers to "standard" conditions. My question is what's the plus of a super light one strut kite if quite every 12 has the same (or very similar) wind range?
