IMO Shawn Richman was one of the most innovative kiters of all time with a unique, artistic and powerful style. Is he still kiting? The last video I saw was of him and Jesse throwing down at Squamish. Are there any more vids in the works?

He definitely had a unique style that I didn't see anywhere else. I also wished to see more from him over the years.

TOTAL AGREE !! There was something about Shawn's style that was magical. In one of the KOTA video summary he does this massive inverted front coming into the camera. Very inspiring. All said, I think he was working as an arborist or something for awhile and then moved to Africa with his GF (??) Not sure. He and I communicated several years ago on FB and he seemed to be doing well.

I talked with him a few years ago. I think he got tired of the kiting pro life and started his own company outside of kiteboarding. He still kites and looks like a superstar doing it.

Shawn rocks with his powered Style.
Always enjoyed his videos.
Too bad not seeing anything anymore.
But happy to see Jesse ripping it up now.

Shawn is riding for RRD now. We'll likely see some new stuff from him soon hopefully.

Have a look a his Instagram account. He posted that he will do a bit more kitesurfing again and riding for RRD. His other big love seems to be his Land Rover
