Well how the world turns.. Just as I thought I'd have to be that awful two tone name a little bird tells me there has been some massive recruitment of ex Neil Pryde, ex Cabrinha product guys as they seem to be going through some corporate cleansing at the hands of the bean counters, by no other than yes you've guessed it North Sails.
So will we be seeing North products that look like Pryde (Windsurfing) and or Cabrinha (Kites)? Then what's going to happen to Cabrinha? Word is they've been cut loose by the Pryde organisation and the main man has been spotted at demo's explaining everything going to be ok, it's just like the duotone thing with them as well. Either way, it aint over yet and there's going to be a pissing contest and the Duotone lot will have their work cut out.
Well the mags and advertising mediums will be doing well from it at least.

Wouldn't surprise me to see sail manufacturers get into kiting now that kiting has an Olympic medal allocated for Paris 2024. I think that those companies will rush to grab the youth market that pops up to support feeder classes to the Olympics, and that's a good thing for driving entry level gear costs down and creating an infrastructure for kids.

Pretty much a disaster for both these brands, yes they will live again, but...
"you mean Cabrinha is now North, and North is now Duotone"

Cabrinha is strong, why would they give up that name to take over North?
But wait...if Pete Cabrinha also takes his name away from Neil Pryde, then it would make sense!
So NP would be North.
Interesting

If Pete cabrinha leaves Neil Pryde and joins north it would make sense to keep the name. I hope he owns the trademark.
I could see north Sails getting back to windsurfing production under the north Sails name. That has always been a closer fit product wise.

So will the northkiteboarding.com website redirect you at random either to Duotone or North Sails?

"Relaunching 2019"
I guess we'll all get the chance to see if we're brand whores or not.
