Try steer that 17m kite with just wrist of your front hand. Thats how i need steer my kite in frontside turn. With both hand on bar your body position is all wrong.

Anyway i need fast steering kite to force him to drift with me. If some kite drift itself i dont need fast turning kite. But that kite did not exist yet.

Thats from wave riding perspective.
You should test 15m or 18m Pulsion from Conceptair!
The SOUL from Flysurfer is close to it but due to more weight not as "drifty" as the Pulsion!

Rode my 10m yesterday. Man that's one slow assed kite compared to my 4m. Still a fun session, but slow is not your friend in the waves. Not at all

After riding the LEI LW 17 (usage 60%of the time) that turns fast and going down to my 12 it takes a couple minutes to slow down the turning (muscle memory re-training) and when going to my 10...same thing...to the 8 same thing...to the 6 same thing...to the 5 same thing.....(that's it ...got no 4)

Still managing very well to make them all turn at their proper controlled fast speed for the amount of wind they are in.

Really enjoy all kite sizes and their individual speeds.

I'm just really in the drummer' s seat.
Gimme a drum set and some sticks.
There are no slow drum kit.

Don't you guys feel real bad that T-REX can't kite or play drums ?

Don’t you think your opinion might change if you were riding your 8m 60% of the time?

Your riding your big kite the most so that is your status quo against which your other kites are compared. Perspective can make a big difference.

Getting used to something faster is easy and fun if your up to it. Addapting to something slower, is easy enough, but lacks the fun factor. I think that’s a pretty straight forward statement that applies to loads of sports.

Your current 17 likely turns as fast as the average 13 from years ago. Today’s 13’s turn like yesteryears 10’s. We’re lucky that we have reached the stage where even the big kites are adequately fast enough to make for a fun ride. Still, you shouldn’t have so much trouble accepting that others might not share your patience when it comes to turning speed.

Good post...60% is 120 days having fun
The other 80 days are on...yes..yes..faster kites

How many days is your 60% on an 8 m kite ?

Yes yes your dick is the biggest on the forum.

I get about 70 days on water, between 5 and 25 on snow (18 this past winter).

So 50-65 on the various 8’s in my quiver. 60% is ballpark. It’s a higher percentage for foiling, almost all my days on a surfboard, half the rare tt days and over half the snow days. I don’t really keep track anymore.

The number of sessions doesn’t make your opinions somehow more relevant.

Worth noting, wind is not my limiting factor theses days. A 17 wouldn’t get me more time on the water. I can ride in less wind than it takes to motivate me to head down to the water.
