Woo3 and Xensr compared

Postby joriws » Thu Aug 09, 2018 3:23 pm

Me and my friend did some riding on single Flyradical-board (TT) with both devices attached. I typed the logs to Excel and graphed. Flysurfer Sonic1-15 and Sonic2-15 was used and the wind was on low side, 4-5m/s approx. I am the one jumping #1-12 and #24-34. Jumps #13-23 my friend was loaning the board and I was using Flydoor at the same time - I could not comfortably ride the Flyradical anymore so we switched boards.

My feeling is that Xensr is much closer to actual jump heights. I say feeling because we did not have "camera-horizon" rig to verify outcome. But 6-7m jumps I'd say are impossible on that wind with twintip.

EDIT: Edited Woo3 link..

--
The graphs have all data but to correlate better normal distribution (avg and stddev) I acknowledge that only jumps registered to both devices should have been used.

EDIT: Correlated data is on my answer..

Excel data, I don't know why at least with me code-tag renders this wrong..

Let's add time correlated data, so here are jumps only found on both devices.. And timestamp offsets are verified to match. So how devices are seeing exactly the same jumps.

Kami, I see you publish your Woo3 stats on Facebook. For sure I did post mine 7.2m as a part of the game and will be posting in the future as I now also have the Woo3. I just want to open up discussion that probably 11.3m posting on facebook might mean 8m in SI-units and probably 8-9m on Xensr-meters. Just when non-Woo3 users think what someone might have jumped.

Here is a short video with two jumps trying to validate Xensr device with camera-horizon level video. I am not saying Xensr is accurate but to my belief it does not exaggerate so much.

I think Xensr is gone unless they can make a business case with smartwatch kitejump software. But now it is available only on Apple swatches.

Business would be like $5/month fee for watch software and social site.

Woo business case is to sell new hardware every year.

But still it is interesting to compare these two. I hope I could lend Piq from importer.. To get 3rd figures..

rad data man. I've been saying it for a while now that woo results is way high. i ride with the sessions app on my apple watch and its pretty spot on as long as i don't wave my arm around then it shorts my jumps. oh and i also get speed, gps map thing, calories and real time jump height results. why the heck anyone pays for a woo that lies to you and gives you like 1/10 the data i dnt get it. whats the trick for next year to get everyone to buy in again?? i think they are out of tricks and soon out of money. bye bye boo boo woo.
