Hi people,
Anyone in here knows the differens between these two models ? Besides fixing the low end problem the 2018 torch had, has there been other changes to this 2019 Torch?
Thanks
Lasse

Hi Lasse,
I’ve used the 12 and the 10 so far for the 2019 quiver.
The kites in general have smaller leading edge, different length on the 5th, some changes to the struts and also the inflating pressure has increased a lot.
In the air the kite is having more low end power compared to a well trimmed 2018 version. It does goes more upwind of few degrees.
The 5th line is properly trimmed on the 10 but on the 12 I would suggest a bit longer trim.
Overall the improvement is net.
No bar pressure changes were notable.
Ah, forgot. The esp is different in length. I’ve not tried it.

apart from "low end" which improvements in flight ??
So in 2017 they imprved the hight end.....in 2018 they corrected the miss they did with the lenght of the 5th line and in 2019 this time they improved low end !! What you improve on one side you loose it on the other.... WTF !?

I have the 10m2 2019. Coming from the 2012 model, I honestly don’t feel a huge improvement in flight.
When I flew the new 2012 model, I came from the 2008 model. That was a mindblowing difference from the first momemt.
I hope I’m wrong, only flew it 2 times so far.

Now that I flew it more,I’m happy with the 2019 Torch kite! ESP is nice aswell, when conditions are gusty and strong.

Not sure, but I tend to think that their new kites need kind of breaking in. I don't know is it my imagination, but I rode my Dashes few times before I started to like them ( now are awesome).

The old Torch's are indeed Gold!.. I'm still riding 2013 and 2014 Torch's and they are the perfect kite. If I upgrade in the future I will be sure to miss 2017, seems a bad year for the Torch from reviews.

Thanks
