Hi all, I wonder if any of you have dealt with BOARDSHOP.CO.UK?
I recently bought firewire evo kite version for 850£ with quality issues(the board is not laminated properly or sanded down to much, I can feel the fiberglass under my fingers) and the boardshop.co.uk wont replace my board. I did contact firewire directly and was recommended to get it repaired. pictures below.
I SO advice you not to purchase anything from them as if any problem arises you will be left on your own. They have emailed me to do board review, I Did glowing review of the board and also included honest review on their service. They have deleted it straight away and only keep very good reviews on their products, so I knew they are not honest shop.
Now I have ordered front grip pad and they sent me tail pad.
I never put anything negative on any forums but I think its worth to warn anybody that wants to spend 1000 of hard earned cash.

Ridiculous, that's a hand made board, all it needs is another coat of resin on those areas, and then lightly sanded smooth. it won't affect performance, it's basically custom made, machines don't make mistakes, but they also don't add individuality.

Foilholio, I don't know about you, but most of us work for our money and we don't want to spend a big chunk of it on something that isn't perfect.
It's not like he only spent 100 bucks expecting top quality.

I do ride my gear not baby it and expecting my gear to last coupe of seasons.
This thread is not about thrashing anybody or firewire company.
A bit of sand in the board bag, uv and this board will suck water in in few months.
The board does the job and is fun, I do not regret getting it. Its just frustrating to deal with the shop that does not care and not willing to help. Lesson learnt.
btw the other gay man must be thinking about you

How long ago did you buy it? You have the right to return any item bought online within 14 days for any reason as long as it isn't used.
I'm assuming you noticed the defect on receipt of the board and haven't actually used it?
I would simply contact the shop by phone and tell them I wish to return the item.
The Consumer Contracts Regulations
When you buy goods online you have additional rights to return them.
This is because your decision may be based on a brief description or a photograph – so what you receive isn't always quite what you’d expected.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you are allowed to return an item if you simply change your mind.
Online returns timelines
You have the right to cancel at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
You need to notify the retailer of your wish to cancel your order within this time period – by email, for example.
You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify the retailer of your cancellation to return the goods.

Ah well in that case you're fucked. I would have inspected the board on arrival and if unhappy with it returned it straight away.
