Of course next step will be kitedrones, especially for light wind kiting and hydrofoiling. But for hydrofoiling already are experimental hydrofoildrones. Still i imagine on the bar small mounted led display with all needed information as speed, wind speed, forecasts, jump height and etc. Watch will be oldskool mode.

What's with the persistent hate of Foil kites?
I should publish my own article. "Ram air effect in Tube kites". Just to fuc.k with your heads.

The sport might be just well dead in 20 years and old farts (us) in their 70s will still be remembering good old days.
While sailing mostly a nice sailboat ...
Wait until affordable electric foils hit the market in 3 years - it’ll drop off so much crowd who are kitefoilibg today. And in 3 years there’ll be 60% of riders foiling primarily
Just like windsurfing - living its last days of fading glory

Don't be so pessimistic, Grigorib. There are still lots of windsurfers, in fact in Cape Town the scene is thriving in the summer with lots of Europeans riding. Check Kevin Langaree's latest video from One Eye in Mauritius, and there are windsurfers. I'm sure the pleasure we get from riding waves, jumping high, and yes, foiling, will still be here in 20 years. Sadly, however, I will be too old to do any more than watch.

Disagree, if there is no kite it is not kite surfing, might as well call it water ski or board towing.

Kiting as windsurfing always will be niche sports as its to much related with conditions and water itself is not suitable for all.
Interesting how will be named in standart: electric hydrofoils as ehydroids or hydrodrones:)

96% of kiters worldwide are on tube kites because it gives them a much bigger buzz !!
How much more proof do you need ?
