Nick Jacobsen leaves Cabrinha team

Postby WindJunkieFL » Sat Sep 08, 2018 4:02 am

I’ve always enjoyed watching NJ go large and in charge with huge airs and crazy megaloops. I recall the FX being specially designed for him when it first came out. Low and behold I received a blast email from Cabrinha this evening stating:

“ALOHA NICK JACOBSEN
It’s with regret that we will be ending our sponsorship of Nick Jacobsen this week.
We wish Nick all the best in his new endeavors.”

Perhaps he’s going to the new North, following Pat Goodman?

How so?

Also, wait for an announcement of him joining the new north.

Because he does things no one else is doing plus his stuff is crazy.
His personality is also appealing being a funny guy.

And of course a great rider with an appealing style.

He seemed like a nice guy but skills then style is my favorite and to me that's not even top 5.
Anyway I'm willing to take bets on him being the next new north rider.

he is great for kiteboarding imo a mix of character, originality and i dont give a f$_k in todays world of bots liking each others instagrams

to completely end kiteboarding we need to see aaron hadlow ride with a handle, carlos mario do board offs ( oops), and pro kiteboarders that previously told anyone that they are sailing, to f&_k off, swear allegance to world sailing.

oh yeah abd the red bull ... now sanctioned by world sailing

i wish him to stay in one piece too!

Toby's right - everyone always remembers the one that entertained them the most - as with all things.

Skill is secondary, and no one remembers the Hermit.
Big marketing companies know this.

Good Luck NJ :thumb:

Great rider and entertainer. The wording sounds like he did something to make them get rid of him. Which actual fits with his public image quite well and is quite cool. If he ends up at North it will just deepen my suspicions that there is a Cabrinha/Shriro connection to the resurrection of North. I must say Bums&More are quite obnoxious so I will be rooting for North, especially if NJ-Cool lands there :thumb:

Tired of the stereotypes of aloha spirits, waterman rough mans and super tech cool riders. He is really a fresh breeze to the sport, one of his own.... good luck NJ!!
