Best Hooded Rashguard??? What's the best one for kiting? Guess it would need to be tight-fitting. Also some have the pocket on the back with the zipper. Seems like that would interfere with your harness, i.e. your harness might shove the zipper into your back.
Advice appreciated????

I have the DaKine hooded rash guard. I removed the built-in visor by un-stitching the seam . The rash guard has a built-in rear pocket, which I don't need or use. I might remove the zipper pull, which I can sometimes feel getting pushed into my back by the harness. I wish the rash guard had thumb loops...
Edit: Adding that this rash guard is tight fitting . I like loose fitting sun protection on the beach, but prefer snug/tight fitting rash guards on the water [like the DK model] to minimize flapping in the wind.

The Ride Engine Eclipse Hoodie
https://rideengine.com/products/eclipse ... dry-hoodie is the best I have seen, but on paper only - I have never had a chance to find one available and buy it. It got all the features one might need in such a garment.

I have some shirts from Coolbar. I want to get their hooded rash guard. Like you, I don’t want any back position zippered pockets. Definitely get a rash guard. Regular sun shirts get saggy when wet.

I have tried a few differnt brands. So far my favourite has been BassDash (Amazon)
Thumbloops, perferated mask (wear up or down), good quality

I'm on my second of this o'neil hoody rash guard:
Works good enough for me, so I didn't try other brands.
I never used the zipper and it never bothered me under the harness.
Only two complains:
It has an elastic cord to adjust the hood, and the cord has a little thing to keep the cord adjusted. This little thing has a spring inside that gets rusty and stop working pretty quickly, so I end up doing a knot in the position I like it and leave it like that forever.
Second thing, the sun visor tends to get unsewn quickly too, but it doesn't bother me either.
It lasts me a good number of sessions before it stretches to the point of needing replacement.
