After having a metric fuckton of fun dialling in a frontroll, downloop transition I realised I need a list of stuff to work on and get out of the kite-rut.
What list of tricks would you give (in order of difficulty) to take people beyond the usual Jump / Backroll / Frontroll / (and << with transition) tricks?
add a hand grab to that front roll..
you can do back roll variations (hand drag, add a loop, etc)
since you do the loops, darkslide should be pretty natural next trick.
then you can practice some oldskool moves: grabs ->one foot ->board off

My progression was more or less like that:
Jump, backroll transition, slow late backroll kiteloop.
Then jump with transition with late downloop, or learn heliloop in general.
grabs on jump
One footer
Powered kiteloop
Frontroll transition
Frontroll
Backroll hand drag with slow late loops then darkslide.
Backroll with early powers loop.
Double backroll with late loop
Unhook front, back and Raley to blind.
Jump with initiating late rotation
Currently working on frontroll kiteloop and kiteloop with late rotation.
Thanks all - trying 'deliberate practice' so rather than just chucking myself about and seeing what happens each session put in some dedicated time to work on one or 2 things from the plan thats saved to phone for quick ref.
This is my plan (with some of the better tutorial vids I could find), should all build upon each other and many e.g. (backroll handdrag, darkslide, jesus walk) are very similar in technique.
Add GRABS to back/front roll
Simple BOARD OFF's
jumps
jump start
SLIDING tricks...
Backroll hand-drag transition with loop
Darkslide
Jesus Walk
Kite LOOPS (heli and back) during jumps inc jump transitions
