I actually sympathize with Boards and More. It was like the mob asking for "protection" money. They created the Rebel, Neo, Evo, Click Bar, etc, and North stood there with hand open, you know, money for nothing.
Albeit I sympathize the cause - the way they handled it deserves nothing but pity.

Saw a couple here on Saturday. The color design looks really amateur beside other kites...

Actually, I don't care about the name: I need glasses to read and I don't use them in the water. Once my kite is in the air I can't read the brand name any more!

I'm excited about the Duotone/North situation because it effectively produced a new kite company in North. Since Duotone took all the kite models, production, etc. with them, North will basically have a new line of kites. Since Pat Goodman is designing their kites, and I've always really liked Cabrinha kites, I'm excited to see what models North rolls out in 2019.
same here

When this all kicked off I was a bit upset, I've made a few posts saying I'm going to move over to Cabrinha and other such childish things, like the petty ranting of a 36 year old man was going to shame boards and more into getting a better name....
I've decided after much deliberation and a few good sessions I genuinely don't give a shit, this year I bought a 2018 North Click bar, if all goes to plan I'll sell that next year and get a 2019 Duotone Click bar and probably a kite at the same time.
It actually doesn't matter, not even a little bit, to me now anyway. I remember being quite upset about it for a while though for some reason.

TBH I'd be happy to have kites with absolutely no markings on other than the size that I can see when pumping up. And yes, I have before now put a 6m in a 8m bag and vice versa then pumped up and launched the 8m thinking it was a 6m then thinking f*** me, didn't think it was this windy! Then when I immediately landed the kite the kiter who had launched the kite told me what size I was on. Oops.
