Ok, just an update and thanks for all your help. That bar was unbalanced by about 8 inches at least....fucked up.
Just so you know, 8" is 20 cm and that is pretty much 90% of the trim of a standard kitebar. So if it really was out by that much, that's scary.

This is true - if it's out by that much either:
1) previous owner has been adjusting it (badly)
or
2) Theres something wrong with the lines/ bar set up.

I've had tonnes of Cab bars, and the lines do stretch, but only a few cm over the course of a whole season.

Yes what happened was he adjust pig tails for his previous kite and then mine needed regular length and that is what caused it. Seriously was out by that many inches lol.

Ok, just an update and thanks for all your help. That bar was unbalanced by about 8 inches at least....fucked up. the naish pivot doesnt have a big high wind range but its all good now after the balance, didnt think of it. normally i would but since it was new to me i didnt suspect it. thanks again.
Good to hear it worked out. Definitely a good idea to check the bar at intervals. I can comfortably ride my 9 Pivot to well over 30-35mph on a surfboard so that kite should have range. It does feel very different than the park and my guess is that once you get attuned to the new feel the pivot will have plenty range for you. :thumb:

good point. i am starting to enjoy it alright :D Safe kiting.
