Their advertising fairly heavily on here still. I think they typically would only post in response to a question for the most part or when they release a new product/model year.
I know they are planning multiple trips this year starting in LaVantana.

We're more than ok :)

My name is Nesan, the Marketing Director at OR.

After some talks we thought that kiteforum would best be a place left for kiters to talk to other kiters, or a "no brand interference" kind of place. We have our posts up in a brand section of the site and our other content get put up here for discussion and such. Seeing as this is a great forum that hasn't been overrun with the likes of promoted content and such we want to keep this place a community for everyone and having us comment all the time didn't feel right.

That being said if you have some burning questions for us, or if we see the need to jump in and clarify some misconceptions as we see them on the thread (although users do this before we do) we would step in to make sure everything is understood properly.

This community is amazing and needs to be sport first and not brand first.

"Low profile" doesn't mean "completely ignoring".

Trolling – (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll – noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument . :nono:

Translation = We know we will get called out on BS if we put it here. Best to leave the topics (questions and complaints) up to the actual users of our gear, and steer clear of shoving the hype down their throats.

That seems VERY UN-COREporate kiteboarding of them. I may have to give them another look for that statement. No BS. :D No BS!

And come to think of it, I typically see good behavior/attitude from OR regular customers.

Interesting, I always liked their responses here, thought it was nice and refreshing vs the other brands silence. Was it John that used to respond? Whoever it was they did a good job of informing without overly pimping their stuff if that makes sense. Not an easy line to walk.
