the thing with these boards in that they damp a lot of the impact being so small, and of course the best rooster tails in the business.
as well as pvc core epoxy glass versions, i used to make these kind of small boards like a skateboard, laminated plys in a press and they dont end up too heavy as they are so small.. use 4 tnuts for the inserts.
these kind of footstraps are easy to make too.. just webbing with a piece of eva foam on inside, you can make a neoprene pocket for them if you want
all up super cheap, super simple, affordable, but more more importantly.. soooo much fun to ride in strong winds
That's the beauty of Kitesurfing....You can ride how you want on what you want. Inspiring Vid - will have to did out my Jamie pro...though at 126 may still be a bit big
yeah but this is kai lenny, part time kiteboarder.. imagine new school kite kids on these very affordable boards in real windy locations.. no rules, want to throw a 319... go for it.. these boards soak up impact
grassroot elements unique to kiteboarding
anyway, back to $2000 hydrofoils and $3000 foil kites, carry on...lets see if we can increase the average age of a kiteboarder up to 58yo
No disrespect to jimmy
But how you work out that a custom Jimmy Lewis myth is “very affordable” I have no idea
Hi I noticed it too that this board only has straps and no footpads at all. I re recorded this video and put another time in this time half the play speed, so you can actually see some of the fast tricks he is doing, some very nice tricks.
Is this kite beach Maui spot btw a good spot also for beginners, can you take lessons there ? Are there any lagoons also maybe, I think I saw some around Honolulu ? I ask this cause a group of irl live streamers is there now, yesterday they went to the Vans surfing competition on the North Shore but by the time they got there the competition was already over. You can watch there adventures here www.iceposeidon.com
