Building / design resource links?

Postby kooshball » Fri Aug 22, 2014 5:22 pm

I am a Kiteboarder and woodworker / designer as a hobby (also build speakers), have a full shop with vacuum press and would like to explore building a light wind board and a high wind board to complimented my existing quiver.

Can you folks share some links to basic information on materials, techniques, design strategies so that I can so some research on the board building topic?

Thx

For light wind you want less rocker, more wind, more length, more rectangular shape.

145x45 is a good starting point for a light wind board.

On a slightly more serious note, if you talking about twintips, then plummet is right.
Another alternative is to pick a displacement type board for light wind, i.e. surf or SUP board.
Depends on what kind of fun you're after.
