My kind of board and the kite too. Should soften the ride for those bad ankles guys complain about. :thumb:

Looks really nice. What kind of wood? How does it ride?

Ordinary spruce wood 4mm strips with blue insulation foam under the feet. 3,5 kg total weight so it is slightly heavier than my foam epoxy boards but i think it is stronger. Its fun to design and build a board that matches exactly what you want for very specific conditions, in this case strong wind, decent sized waves and a bit choppy so i went with a narrow board, single front strap at 45 degrees and quite a bit of nose and tail rocker. Next will be a flatter wider strapless Vanguard inspired board for more mellow conditions. Then maybe a paipo style board and then a foil. So many projects, so little time!

nice work. Nice quick but insightful video. Went back over it with my finger on the pause button.

Post another when the next project hits the water.

the head cam is a gopro mounted on a 2m carbon pole with a counterweight at the other end. The middle of the pole is bolted to a swivel that is made from a caster wheel (minus the wheel) attached to a skateboard helmet. weight is important, use a gopro 3 or 4 and a carbon pole / don't use aluminum, its too heavy for the neck
