Lot of pressure involved for it to work as designed with water, but who knows might not even begin to expand with kite air pressure. A better hose would be a plus. What we currently have is the cheapest option.
I want someone over there in the UK to try that cyclair airbed pump on kites and give an opinion.

My parents just got one of those hoses. It's basically a very thin tube inside a protected cloth cover and IT SUCKS. It doesn't have as much flow as a standard hose and you can pinch it off with your fingers even when it's fully expanded/pressurized. It requires a constant pressure in order to stay expanded. You would be pumping up the hose instead of your kite with every stroke.

That is a really interesting idea. I may have to investigate the ease of modifying one for a pump.

I use these at home, They are not very durable when they are not under pressure, if you step on them when not under pressure you will damage the bladder. I've had to replace a few now... good thing they have a 1 year warranty.
