What is the SS inserts track? One single SS rod? Also Mylar looks pretty thin?

Can you send me your graphics and I'l build one for AU :)

And, most importantly, give us some flex details!
Thanks man.
The SS inserts are M6 nuts with a washer welded on. They are inserted in holes in the centre ABS stringer.
There is no mylar in the final board, it's used as a finishing surface on the outside of the board, inside the bag.. this is why the final finish is so smooth.
I'll send you a PM with the graphics, don't mind sharing these at all.

There is a fair amount of flex. Tip rocker without me on it is 6cm (each side). With my 85kg it comes down to 2cm (each side).
This is the most flexible board I own now.

Oh, and total weight is 3kg. (2.98kg, to be exact)

Now lets see how it goes. I once made a board that had the same layup and thickness throughout the board. It turned out to be too flexible in the center and too stiff it the tips. I learnt you need either more reinforcement in the center section or more core thickness in the center or less at the tips.

I hear you.. I'm pretty happy with the build process, so with the next board I can experiment with other flex patterns.

Thanks! So am I. :D

Anyway, took the board for its maiden run at the Vaal today.
Got the call this morning that some guys were going and had to decide where to mount the fins. With no time to overthink it I went with the same setup as my other board, with the fin in the centre and close to the footpad.
Confirmed again today that I really like this fin position and it works well with this board.
The board rides nice and smooth, I thought it may be too flexible but I didn't notice it misbehaving at all.

Kerry took it for a spin as well and somewhat to his surprise also liked it, despite the different shape and fin placement.

So, short session today on an inland lake, not particularly choppy, not enough wind to really jump, but a nice ride so far.
Can't wait to get some wave action now...

Now the challenge is to get some action shots or video!.....

Now I have tried single fin in the center and come to the following conclusions. It works well until real powered then you are cranking over, laying into the rail you can loose the center fin out of the water and loose an edge. Same goes for bottom turns on big waves. , and for loading for a jump. So you are less locked in than a fin by the edge of the board.

It will be interesting to see what your thoughts are of the center fin when super powered,
