That's funny coincidence that you were in Helsinki where I live. Small world.downunder wrote:Heh, if you posted this earlier I was working in Helsinki and would bring it to ya
The product is named Duraclear and manufactured in France by socrep.com
Other product is made in Austria by isosport, and this is a TPU sold via junksupply as I understand.
Either way, it is a bugger to apply on the board without a press...
I think so too. I already did one core same way as earlier and will extend the UD carbon more to the tip to see if that works. For future boards I will then follow your suggestion.TomW wrote:I think you need to taper or thin down the foam more gradually.
Proper vacuum (90%++) gives you the pressure equivalent of tons of weight over the board surface. A simple fridge compressor is capable of that levels of vacuum. Invest in a vacuum gauge to get to the proper vacuum levels and perhaps a buffer tank to have some vacuum advance.jcres wrote:...
I only have vacuum for pressing power, so I think that I have to find alternatives to that if that is not enough.
I had perforated film and breather material. I did not use infusion method, so no spiral line.Rufusz wrote:Did you use peel ply and breather material for the vac bagging? It helps a lot with even vacuum distribution along with the spiral hose to help the extraction of excess resin.
